We wanted to explore the dynamics of romantic relationships through the most intimate and private spaces in a person’s life - a bed. It becomes a metaphor for connection, for boundaries, for compromise. This side is mine, that side is yours. However as soon as the night falls these made up boundaries blur. Bodies tangle and untangle. One can dominate the space, claiming more room or stealing the blanket. Roles aren't set, agreed on. Comfort becomes an individual pursuit rather than a shared experience. These subtle acts, physical interactions are often unconscious. For us, these dynamics serve as metaphors for the imbalances, tensions, and compromises that characterise and shape human relationships.

This piece is ultimately an exploration of our own lived experience, guiding us through the creation process.
